Inspiration
Painted in Sydney NSW during the ‘stay at home’ period of early 2020. Every time the wind blows our garden fills with the leaves of the Lemon Scented Gum. Each leaf is perfectly beautiful in special ways. Each has a different colour, and each tells a story. This painting is an ode to the ancient bush. The original story tellers. This was part of my journey of discovering the simplicity of colour, line and form. That contrast as in life, is where the interesting ideas are. This painting shimmers and looks completely different when the light changes throughout the day.
